About Us

Meet the Owners!

We are so excited to bring We Rock the Spectrum to Tampa. Our family has spent the last 24 years as an active duty military family moving to and visiting many places around the U.S. as well as the world. We have been fortunate to have been in Tampa twice and have found this to be home!

We have three beautiful sons. Our children were very young when we arrived in Tampa and it was here that our second child was diagnosed with Autism. We went on a journey to learn as much as we could so we could help our son. We knew from an early age he had a high sensory need and after many years of trying dance, gymnastics and playgrounds, we still could not give him the input he needed. We spent much of our time researching and seeking our support groups and resources. Then we discovered We Rock the Spectrum and found a location to visit. This was the first place where our neurotypical children and our ASD child played in an environment that supported them both. It was a fun and accepting place that finally met the sensory needs of my son. It was then we knew knew we wanted to use this next chapter to serve in a different way by bringing the We Rock the Spectrum franchise to the Tampa area. We are overjoyed to bring this gym to the community for ALL children. After a life of service as a military family we so grateful to be able to bring a full inclusion gym that teaches all our children to love, respect and play and embrace all of our unique and beautiful differences in the world! We can’t wait to welcome you and your family to our gym and say hello!

Autism-Friendly CARD

We understand the extra needs that children with autism or special needs have. If you’re new to our gym, download our social story™ and read it to your child! It helps to explain what they can expect at the gym when they first come.

Social stories™ were first created by Carol Gray in 1991. They are a short story that describes a situation, concept, or social skill in a format that is helpful for people with autism spectrum disorder. Creating social stories™ is yet another way to show respect and understanding for children with special needs. At We Rock the Spectrum, we value understanding and inclusion above all else. Social stories™ are a tool we use to achieve our mission.
